Virus, Spyware, Pop-ups and Unknown infections

Your computer can be infected with a lot of different problems.  They come at you from from all different angles; thru your email, messenger, music downloading program and by seemingly harmless freeware programs you may download and install.  Here is some helpful information about virus' that you may or may not know.

Some infections may act hidden in the background.  When this is the case your antivirus won't find it, you can't uninstall it from the program menu and it doesn't show up in the task manager.  These infections can be removed under our standard Virus removal service call.

A virus may act like black death, turning the computer off shortly after turning on.  When this happens the user can't run their antivirus or troubleshoot the problem in any way.  If this is happening to you, call one of our Call Center Intelligence members.  You will be asked some basic questions to determine whether you have a virus or whether you have a hardware failure.

A "returning visitor" is one of the most annoying virus types.  A user will spend hours removing it, then minutes after deleted it reappears.  These visitors won't find their way back to your computer after our standard Virus removal service call.  Schedule an appointment with one of our Onsite Response Team today.

Destructive virus' may attempt to delete files, folders and programs.  Often times these virus' will alter files and users will get the message "Access is Denied" when trying to use.  These virus will often corrupt a portion of the hard drive and users will get the error "Operating System not Present" or "No Operating System Found."  These files and folders can usually be recovered under our introductory Data Recovery Service.

When computers become sick with spyware they may be nearly impossible to use.  Computers may slow to a crawl, become ridden with pop-ups and have strange internet activity.  Certain sites on the internet may not open anymore, or you may be redirected to a strange site when trying to access something.  Another major problem that users have is inability to check their email.  All of these problems can be resolved with our standard Virus removal service call.

Occassionally users will have strange problems.  A user may try to type one thing and something else appears or a strange window opens.  Certain hardware may work but have strange functionality.  If this is happening to you, call one of our Call Center Intelligence members.  You will be asked some basic questions to determine whether you have a virus or whether you have a hardware failure.
